Positive vs Negative pressure within your grow tent refers to which direction the air is flowing through your grow tent.
When you have more air being added to your tent than is removed, the tent has positive pressure. In this case, air will be trying to escape the tent through any open hole.
When you have more air being removed from your tent than is added, the tent has negative pressure. In this case, air will be trying to enter the tent through any open hole.
If you need to filter the air leaving your tent, you want to ensure you have Negative Pressure. With Positive Pressure, air may escape the tent without going through your filter.
This air flow is affected by exhaust fans, humidifiers, heaters, or any equipment that moves air to or from the tent.
